No matter, pit or palace, our God provides
November 3, 2005
When I landed in this country some 22 years ago, I was gripped with many questions with regard to continuing my walk with Christ. There was no EGF or EU to extend the arm of fellowship, but God was there to provide for my every need. Nevertheless, the desire to stay connected with the students of India was not fully quenched. And, in spite of many conversations among like-minded fellow-believers, God did not see it fit to provide a forum to bring us together for many years.

During the same time, the ministry in India showed tremendous growth, resulting in many decentralized states, metro ministries, conferences, and camps. It was during that time, God moved the hearts of people here and orchestrated the events behind the scenes to form OFUESI. What a privilege it has been to be associated with this movement since its early days and see God’s purpose established against many uncertainties! It is my prayer that you, who are involved in this ministry, continue to stay faithful to His calling and expand the extended arm of EGF here in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

I can never thank God enough for counting me worthy to partner with OFUESI ministry, and as we return to India, I can most assuredly say that, no matter – pit or palace - God provided His strength to sustain the ministry of OFUESI. May He receive all the glory.

From next week, I will be in Bangolore along with my family and I start my new assignment of working and representing an American semiconductor company. I sincerely seek your prayers for me and my family as we continue our responsibilities in the ministry according to His plans and provision.

Yours in His cause,
Thirukumar Vethanayagam

"These conferences and retreats come at the right time, especially when you feel homesick and are reminded of the good 'ol EU days back in India. Lets keep doing the work of the Lord as he leads us in the coming years in reaching out to the Indian students."

"It was our privilege to meet you, your wife and other younger generation of UESI graduates. It was a great blessing and encouragement to me. Thank you for the excellent planning that you have done. Thanks."
