Dear friend of UESI:

God has been steadily working among us these last few years to mobilize the Overseas Friends of UESI movement in the US and thus to enable us to expand our participation in the UESI ministry. The National Council met in July and established some goals for this year. God has graciously granted us those wishes already and is challenging us to expect greater things from Him. May God grant us the wisdom to know His purpose and to do our part.

Some of us have already taken part in the various OFUESI activities across the country in the form of prayer groups and conferences. God is using these meetings to strengthen our foundation and to enlarge our boundaries. I would like to encourage you to get involved in a prayer group if it exists in your area, or else, take the initiative to start one. May God grant you the privilege to experience His blessing through these Evangelical Graduate Fellowhip meetings once again.

I visited India recently and had the opportunity to meet with the General Secretary, the Adminstrative Secretary, and the Treasurer of UESI. They too acknowledged that it is God who is bringing us together in this manner and extended their blessing and prayer on our behalf. We need to stay under their authority yet function autonomously. May God grant them discernment in balancing their control and our freedom.

As we stand at the threshold of this global movement, there are a lot of operating guidelines that need to be put in place. I covet your prayers so that we remain sensitive to God’s guidance during this process. We have filed an application for the 501c tax-exempt status and would like your prayers in this regard as well. May God grant us the heart to do His will always.

We have seen God’s hand guiding us clearly in the forming of this organization. Let us be careful to give Him the glory and to remain faithful to His calling. Come and join the movement, and spread the blessing.
